Welcome to Ash Class
Our classroom is based in the cabin with the calming and beautiful view of our woodland.
Our class teacher is Miss Barnes and we are supported by Mrs Hall and Miss Bexton.
On a Thursday, while Miss Barnes is completing her SENCo duties, Miss Knight and Mr Oliver (school governor) join the team to lead a Forest School session for the children in the morning. Miss Knight stays with Ash Class on a Thursday afternoon to complete and Art or DT lesson.

Ash Class have ICT with Miss Bexton and Mrs Hall on a Friday morning and they also visit the library, so please ensure Library books are in children's book bags on this day so they have the opportunity to change their books should they wish to do so.
A member of staff will always be available to take quick messages at the door before and after school. You are also welcome to email any queries or messages to our class email: ash@woodstone.leics.sch.uk
PE
This half-term our PE sessions will be on Wednesdays and Fridays. We will be focussing on ball skills this half-term. Please ensure children have their indoor and outdoor PE kit in school on these days. This should include a white or navy t-shirt, navy or black shorts/leggings, socks, trainers and plimsoles. Long hair must be tied back and please ensure earrings are removed as we cannot assist with this.
Forest School
We would like children to come to school wearing their Forest School kit every Thursday morning. Please ensure children have suitable clothes for the weather (i.e sun hats, long sleeved top for warmer days and extra layers, hats for colder days). Children will need to bring a bag with their school uniform in to get changed into before lunch. Children are welcome to keep their wellies at school which means they can wear their school shoes to and from school.
