Welcome to Ash Class
Our new inclusive classroom is based in the cabin with the calming and beautiful view of our woodland.
Our class teacher is Miss Barnes and we are supported by 2 Teaching assistants: Mrs Hall, Miss Bexton. Additionally, Miss Davies supports our class on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon.
On a Thursday, while Miss Barnes is completing her SENCo duties, Mr Medylcott and Miss Knight join the team to lead a Forest School session for the children in the morning. Mrs Clinch leads a cooking session on a Thursday afternoon and an ICT session on a Friday morning. The children also have the opportunity to visit the library on a Friday so please ensure Library books are in children's book bags on this day so they have the opportunity to change their books should they wish to do so.

PE
This half-term we are focussing on athletics, ready for sports day! We do PE every Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Please ensure children have their indoor and outdoor PE kit in school on these days. This should include a white or navy t-shirt, navy or black shorts/leggings, socks, trainers and plimsoles. Long hair must be tied back and please ensure earrings are removed as we cannot assist with this.
Forest School
We would like children to come to school wearing their Forest School kit every Thursday morning. Please ensure children have plenty of layers and a warm, waterproof coat. On extra chilly days, please also provide children with a hat, scarf, gloves and some warm socks as we aim to go out in all weathers. Children will need to bring a bag with their school uniform in to get changed into before lunch. Children are welcome to keep their wellies at school which means they can wear their school shoes to and from school.
