Welcome to Maple Class (Year 2)
Our class teacher is Miss Armston and we are supported by Mrs Copley and Miss Davies.

Homework will be sent home every Friday and is due in the following Friday, when we will go through the answers and mark it in class together. A Dojo Point will be awarded each week for homework completed on time.
We also ask that children read at home at least 5 times per week and record this in their reading diaries. Children will be awarded 3 Dojo Points each week that they read 5 or more time at home.
Year 2 children have the opportunity to change their library books on a Monday so please ensure your child's library book is in their book bag on this day.
Please also ensure PE kits are in school all week, with both indoor and outdoor kit, to allow for any timetable changes.

PE
Our PE lessons will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons this half-term and will focus on Swimming on Tuesdays and Fitness on Thursdays. Children will need their indoor and outdoor PE kits in school so that we are ready for timetable or weather changes should they occur. Please ensure all items are clearly labelled. Children will need to remove their earrings for all PE lessons (including swimming) - unfortunately, we cannot assist with this. Please note that swimming kits will need to be sent in bags large enough to fit school uniform, shoes and coats in during the swimming lesson, as these will be left at the pool-side ('bags for life' are great for this!)
Forest School
Our Forest School sessions will resume in Spring 2! Please ensure wellies are still kept in school in the mean time, so we are ready if we go into the forest for any outdoor learning.
