Welcome back Cedar Class!
Our teachers are Miss Daley (Mon, Tues, Weds) and Miss Clement (Thurs & Fri). We will be supported in class every day by Mrs Moore.

PE
PE will be on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Tuesday's session will be rounders with the sports coach, Mr. Kendrick and Thursday will be netball. Please ensure your child has their complete P.E. kit in school all week so that we can adapt to the weather conditions. Remember that earrings and watches must be removed for all P.E. lessons.
Music
Music will be on Wednesday afternoons where the children will be learning to play the ukulele! Parents will be invited in to see how much progress the children have made in a summer concert, so keep an eye out for the date!

Homework
Homework will be set on Fridays and needs to be finished by Thursday morning, unless otherwise directed. This will include a piece of written maths (to support our learning in class) or a spelling/grammar task.
TTRS
Times Tables Rock Stars will be set on Mondays and should be completed by the following Monday. This term children will be asked to complete 14 'Soundcheck' games over the week. These games closely resemble the statutory multiplication check children will be completing this term, so are a great revision tool. Any sessions not completed will be done during a lunch time at school.
Reading
We like the children to read to an adult at home for 15 minutes at least 3 times a week. Please remember to sign and date your child's reading diary every time you hear them so there's an up-to-date record. Please also make a note of any reading issues that they may need help with in school. It's also really beneficial for your children to hear you read to them so please try to include this in your weekly sessions.
